Feldenkrais Method

The Feldenkrais Method is an educational approach to improve the quality of your life. It teaches you in concrete ways how to develop and refine awareness of how you are being and doing.
Specific movements are used in a unique and practical way as a means to examine current habits of moving, sensing, feeling and thinking. Habits are often unconscious and automatic. The use of movement explorations brings about awareness of your Self. Curious attentiveness and refined awareness of your movements are the tools to access your habits.

An important emphasis in the method is placed on acquiring numerous options for novel ways of moving. Due to physiological changes of the nervous system, aka Neuroplasticity, new neural connections in the brain are created and a refinement and expansion of the movement repertoire takes place. Habits that no longer serve you will be replaced by those that will provide you with a myriad of solutions. By learning how to access and use your capacity of the nervous system for reorganization, you will enhance your coordination, agility, balance and flexibility. You will learn to expand your capacities and ranges of choice and attain a higher level of performance.
